Welcome

I began studying to become a psychotherapist in my fifties, after a life of many and varied experiences, all of which have helped me to develop as a non-judgmental and empathetic therapist.

My work as a poetry therapist, having studied under Dr. Niall Hickey, with both groups and individuals, led to further interest in psychotherapy as a self-discovery and so healing process.
At PCI college in Kilkenny, I obtained a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy and this was followed by a First Class (Hons) degree accredited by Middlesex University.

Coming from a creative background, I use various techniques in the counselling room to help clients discover their authentic self, so leading to change and improved mental health. My preferred technique is the person-centred process (Carl Rogers) coupled with other techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Bibliotherapy when considered helpful in the healing process.
